Mining Modern is a new custom home in the early design phases for a site near Boulder, CO. The building’s design draws inspiration in it’s massing and form from the early mining structures that scattered the foothills of this area during the late 1800’s. We exercised great care in our selection of glazing locations to help frame critical views and help craft the user experience as they engage this amazing landscape. The materials help give a sense of place while having a more modern and chic living experience.

This work originated while employed with Sopher Sparn Architects where Sean served as the Project Architect and design lead.
